Color pencils on a 6x6" wood panel

This is my participation for the Art Block for Ghana, a beautiful project from which all funds will help build a school/house for orphaned children in Ghana, West Africa.

The theme was "home".

This represents my sister and I when we were little hiding underneath the table during tea time. I've been really inspired by the impressionism movement lately and a certain nostalgia of the 19th Century (reading many wonderful novels from that period).

I didn't planned to do something so personal for this project.....

And I feel a bit sad now to let it go to auction ... But who knows, my mom may want to buy it in the end ?!

Voici un apercu (un test en fait) d'un projet sur lequelle je travaille avec une amie auteure. Tout commentaire ou critique sont les bienvenus ! C'est un projet qui évolue et fait son chemin tout doucement... En espérant trouver une maison d'édition bientot !
